🔥 Walking Over Fire Is Not the Goal
The Fire Is Not the Goal. It’s the Gateway.
When people hear firewalk, they assume it’s about the fire.
The danger.
The dare.
The adrenaline.
But walking over fire is not the goal.
The fire is just the gateway.
The goal is the destination of your intention.
The goal is the rebirth.
The goal is courage.
The goal is presence.
The Woman Behind the Mask
Let me tell you about Sarah.
When she arrived at the firewalk, she was all smiles. A high-flying consultant. Always polished. Always in control. The kind of woman people assumed had it all together.
But I saw something else.
I saw the weight she was carrying behind her eyes.
The world had cast Sarah a costume … the high-achiever, the fixer, the strong one.
And off she went to the stage of life… playing the role she thought she had to play.
What Costume Have You Been Given?
But don’t many of us do this?
What costume were you given?
Who handed it to you?
Why have you kept wearing it … even when it never truly fit?
Maybe you weren’t yet clear on your purpose.
Maybe you thought love was something you earned through perfection, instead of something you already are.
The Whisper That Changed Everything
As the night deepened, the masks began to fall.
In the sharing circle, Sarah’s voice cracked open:
“I don’t know who I am without the roles. The achiever. The fixer. The one who holds it all together. I’m tired of being strong. I want to feel like me again.”
She didn’t say another word.
But when it came time to walk the fire, she walked towards me.
Her body shaking. Her breath shallow.
She looked at me with eyes full of vulnerability and whispered:
“I want to remember who I was before the world told me to be someone else.”
And she did.
One step… two steps… across the fire… and into herself.
Then she went over and over again, each time with more lightness and joy and in her steps.
Each step she reclaimed herself back FOREVER.
The Truth on the Other Side of the Coals
Because once you choose to reclaim who you are … underneath the proving, the pleasing, and the pretending … something powerful happens.
You realise the goal was never the fire.
The fire simply reflects what was always there.
✨ The goal is knowing your own strength.
✨ The goal is hearing your inner truth above the noise.
✨ The goal is remembering that your presence is your power.
And once you know these things … once you’ve reclaimed your truth, there’s a new truth library within you.
A deep well of clarity, courage, and self-belief, ready to draw upon in every next step you take.
What It Really Means to Be a Firewalking Instructor
The fire?
She’s not the goal.
She’s the loving, powerful connector.
She holds the mirror.
She sharpens your attention.
She reveals the edge where your real self rises.
And this is what it means to be a Firewalking Instructor.
It’s not just teaching people to walk across coals.
It’s holding the space where shame, blame, and guilt can be released.
Where expectations fall away.
Where people finally breathe and remember who they are.
When you hold that circle in your heart … with fierce love and deep presence … transformation happens.
The Fire Is the Invitation
Sarah didn’t need to prove anything.
She needed to come home to herself.
And the fire helped her find the way.
So no … walking over fire is not the goal. It sure is very special!!!
Being fully alive is.
Reclaiming your self is.
And the fire?
She’s just the invitation.
