The Race to the Top… of What Exactly?

In the last 24 hours, I’ve seen three different people online boldly declare themselves to be the No1 Firewalk Trainer in the UK. Not just “great at what they do.” Not “trusted by their clients.” No … apparently, they’ve reached the mountain top. Crowned themselves. Hung the medal round their own neck.

And listen, I get it. We live in a world where visibility is currency and bold marketing sells. But let’s take a breath and ask… who’s actually handing out these titles? Because spoiler alert, there’s no Firewalking Federation. No leaderboard. No Firewalking BAFTAs.

So how can we all be number one?

A Crown with No Criteria

Here’s the truth: firewalking isn’t regulated. There is no official panel who decides who gets to wear the crown. And while I’m all for celebrating excellence, I also believe we need to be real. Especially in an industry built on trust, transformation, and the power of presence.

Somewhere along the line, “being the best” became more important than being of service. And that’s where things go wonky.

Do People Believe These Self-Proclaimed Podium Holders?

Let’s be honest. Most people can smell inauthenticity from a mile off. We’re not fooled. When someone calls themselves “the number one,” it’s more likely to raise eyebrows than admiration.

Instead of thinking “Wow, they must be amazing”, people think:

• “Says who?”
• “Can they back that up?”
• “What are they overcompensating for?”

The irony is, these claims can actually do the opposite of what they intend. They create doubt instead of trust. Distance instead of connection.

And worst of all? They make people feel like they’re being sold to, not supported.

Who is the best firewalk trainer in the UK?

The truth is, the best firewalk trainer is the one who embodies experience, safety, transformation, and integrity. That’s what I bring to every training, having taught thousands of people to lead their best lives and firewalks since 2008…..

What I can say with my hand on my heart is there is no place for ego and bold “world domination titles” around the fire, we are all equal and The Fire is The Grand Master.

What Really Reassures People When They’re Booking?

When someone’s considering working with you, especially on something as powerful as firewalking … they’re not looking for a trophy.

They’re looking for trust. For someone who will hold them safely through a life-changing experience.

They want to know:

• Are you trained?
• Do you take safety seriously?
• Do you live what you teach?
• Are you grounded, heart-led, and real?
• Will I feel seen and supported, not pushed or performed at?

It’s not about titles. It’s about presence.

It’s not about status. It’s about sincerity.

That’s what reassures people. That’s what makes them say yes. That’s what keeps them coming back and sending others your way.

The Day I Let Go of Wanting to Be “Known”

I remember sitting with my mentor and teacher, Peggy Dylan, the woman who brought firewalking to the Western world and has been my guide for over 16 years.

She asked me a question that stopped me in my tracks:

“What do you want, Lisa?”

I told her, with all the ambition in my heart:
“I want to be known for…” and deep down knowing that I would love to be and willing to work hard to being The Best Firewalk Trainer in the UK at least.

And she gently smiled and said,
“How about you let go of that… and just apply yourself to your purpose? Go make the difference you were born to make.”

That moment changed everything.

Because I realised … being known for something means nothing if the people in front of you don’t feel something.

Real Transformation Has No Slogan

You can’t fake it.
You can’t brand your way into someone’s soul.
You have to be it.

People don’t remember what you say … they remember how they felt in your presence.

So instead of claiming the crown, I keep asking better questions:

• Do people feel safe with me?
• Do they feel stretched, but not pushed?
• Seen, not sold to?
• Empowered, not impressed?

Because real transformation doesn’t come from flashy titles.
It comes from truth, courage, and connection.

Lions Don’t Roar. They Just Are.

The best leaders I know don’t need to shout about how great they are. They don’t lead with ego. They lead with heart, with integrity, with fire in their soul and feet grounded in purpose.

So am I the No1 Firewalk Trainer in the UK?

That’s not for me to say.

That’s for the people I’ve walked beside.
The people who stood daringly on the edge of the fire, and left with their shoulders back, eyes shining, and a new story in their bones.

That’s for the coaches, consultants, therapists, and leaders I’ve trained … who’ve gone on to lead their own firewalks, change lives, and light up communities across the country and beyond.

And that’s for you, my friend, to decide … not based on what I say, but on how you feel when you’re here. So, I have let go of wondering Who Is The Best Firewalk Trainer in the UK and just focused on making the most impactful difference to my students…. so they can be in their full and beautiful brilliant potential.

Let’s Be Busy Making a Difference

So instead of chasing titles, I’ll keep doing the work that matters. Training incredible souls to be Firewalk and Empowerment Instructors.

I’ll keep stacking the wood.
Tending the fire.
Holding space.
And helping people remember who they were before the world told them otherwise.

Because whether I’m number one, number ten, or not on any list at all…
I know I’m walking in alignment with my soul.

And that’s what truly matters. HELPING PEOPLE BELIEVE IN THEIR INCREDIBLE HUMAN POTENTIAL. … Let’s make it about the people and go ad make that difference we are here to make.
