The Fear Was Real
I remember the first time I walked on fire. Not led it. Not trained others. But stepped up, barefoot and vulnerable, to face the coals myself. A jouney only I can do and no one can of for anyone else.
I kinda understood some of the science. But I also need to be honest, the fear was real. It rose the moment I signed up and didn’t leave me until after I stepped across the coals. Because transformation doesn’t live in the pages of a book. It lives in the heart. In the soul. And so when my feet moved my body toward the fire, something extraordinary happened.
My brain, almost surprised, said “OK… I trust you. I’m focused. I’m ready. See you on the other side of these coals to reveal who I am, beneath the logic, the knowledge, and the fear.”
Presence Is the Price of Transformation
The fear left me only once I was off the coals. And in its place? A deep, unwavering respect for how I show up in life. Because my state of focus and intention couldn’t waver, not for a second, without risking injury. And that’s true of everything. We can’t sleepwalk through life and expect extraordinary results. Presence is the prerequisite of transformation.
This Isn’t About Fire … and it is.
That night, something shifted. Something primal woke up inside me. Not just courage, but clarity. Not just confidence, but connection.
And that’s when I realised what the fire asked of me.
It asks for focus.
It’s asks for intention.
It’s asks to remember who you are before the world told you otherwise.
What the Fire Really Teaches Us
Firewalking doesn’t just teach you a lesson, it strips away everything that is not you. The people pleasing. The overthinking. The fear of failure. The endless waiting to feel ready.
You don’t need to be ready to walk on fire. You need to be willing, focused, intentional with a heart full of respect.
And that’s what unlocks human potential. That moment of raw willingness. Of trust. Of full bodied YES.
When Intention Meets Action
When you take all the great work you’ve just done in a workshop, the visioning, the releasing, the reconnection with your inner fire and you walk it out to the fire, it becomes more than symbolic. It becomes inevitable. Because what you think with feeling, and what you take dynamic action on, becomes reality. That’s the moment that unlocks potential.
I often hear people say, “I thought I came to walk on fire, but what I got was so much more clarity. I feel like I’ve shed years of baggage.”
That baggage? It was blocking joy. Purpose. Presence.
The Fire Is the Transformation
The fire commands your awareness. It calls your consciousness forward. It demands that you show up fully. And when you do, you come alive.
The numbness we attach to ourselves … to protect ourselves abandoned.
The fire isn’t just a tool for transformation, it is the transformation. It’s an ancient energy that meets your energy. And when you meet it with respect, with presence, and with trust, something sacred happens. Your nervous system holds you steady. Your body remembers what to do.
You Can’t Think Your Way Into Your Potential
The fire requires your focus. But it also gives you something back ,a sense of knowing, of alignment. Of what’s possible when intention, focus, and action come together. And just when your mind yells, “But we agreed fire burns!”, you get to whisper back, “But what if I’ve never approached fire from the model of being before? And what if this time, not only does it not burn… but it gives me an experience I couldn’t have imagined?”
Thank God I don’t allow logic to decide what’s possible for me or I’d be so limited.
As a Master Firewalking Instructor, I don’t just teach at you. I facilitate you into your own answers. Because 90% of the transformation isn’t what I say. It’s what you do. What you choose. What you walk through.
You can’t think your way into your full potential. You have to walk into it.
